In celebration of our 25th Anniversary, Pro-Literacy Detroit is hosting a special Detroit Leaders Team Tournament during this year's Scrabble & Jazz fundraiser on Thursday, October 8 from 6 to 10pm at the Detroit Yacht Club on Belle Isle.

Forming Teams
As a leader in Metro Detroit, we ask your consideration of forming a team of six persons to compete in this special 25th Anniversary Scrabble Tournament. You and a group of friends will play as a team to win cash prizes, vacation packages and more!
By supporting the 25 years Pro-Literacy Detroit has been working to strengthen the minds and lives of the Detroit community, you are helping to provide free tutoring services for persons age 16 and older who struggle with reading.
Pro-Literacy Detroit’s Evening of Scrabble & Jazz fundraiser is a popular event attended by over 300 Metro-Detroiters who enjoy an evening of scrabble, dinner and dancing to live jazz entertainment. Attendees alternate from the scrabble tournament, strolling supper, dance floor and silent auction area for a relaxing evening in the moonlight.
Scrabble Tournament Teams:
- Must consist of six persons
- Pay $50 per team member to enjoy the scrabble tournament, dinner buffet & dancing to live jazz entertainment (Individual tickets for those not on a team are $75)
- Play Scrabble for approximately 45 minutes of the evening
- Win cash prizes, vacation packages and more!

Event Overview:
Over 500 Metro-Detroiters will enjoy a relaxing evening of scrabble, dinner and dancing to live jazz entertainment at the Detroit Yacht Club on Belle Isle in Detroit. These professionals will alternate from the scrabble tournament, strolling supper, dance floor and silent auction area.
